What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refugee Support Project - Case Worker position at Sparks Group?
Hours will be Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm. Pay is $23.00 per hour.
- Conduct case management of the independent departures of Afghan guests from one of the military bases; this includes responding to emails, answering phone calls and handling drop ins that arrive at the office to inquire on their government issued documents.
- Ability to use the internal and external databases in order to confirm case information for the independent departures.
- Verify the identity of the Afghan guest who is requesting for their Employment Authorization Documents (EAD) via phone, email or in person.
- Check thoroughly the arriving documents including Employment Authorization Documents (EAD), Social Security Numbers (SSNs) and Birth Certificates.
- Receive and organize documents including mailing the letter to the correct specified address.
- Handle of mail and unclassified pouches as specified in Diplomatic Post Office (DPO) regulations.
- Receive and track documents, organize incoming and outgoing packages.
- Ensure proper labeling of all incoming and outgoing post.
- Previous experience of any clerical work or customer service
- Basic experience in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge in Diplomatic Post Office (DPO) regulations is an advantage
- Attention to detail, ability to organize paperwork in a methodical way
- Discreet, details and clients-oriented, patient and willingness to learn new things
