Case Manager - Mass Torts Division

Speaks Law Firm is an experienced personal injury law firm with offices in Wilmington and Charlotte, North Carolina. Located close to Camp Lejeune, we are committed to obtaining advantageous outcomes for our clients. We are looking for a Case Manager - Paralegal to join us in our Wilmington office to primarily manage personal injury matters, including those involving Camp Lejeune. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Client Advocate:Timely and consistent communication with clients regarding treatment, scheduling, wage loss, etc.; Request client records from health care providers and other sources to substantiate claims
• Case Management: Oversee the life cycle of assigned Camp Lejeune water contamination cases. Communicate with attorneys regarding case status and issues requiring attention; Engage with court personnel in relevant jurisdictions as well as handling electronic filing of court submissions;Ensure claims are accurately submitted, updated and substantiated and the attorneys are fully informed of all claim developments with ready access to all claim/client details
• Legal Research and Documentation:Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; Provide written analysis to attorneys; Draft legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; Filemotions and pleadings according to judicial procedures
  
  

Desired Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher preferred
• NC Paralegal Certificate a plus
• Notary a plus
• Minimum one year of legal administrative experience or equivalent required
• Strong organizational skills
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of legal language and principles, and other related processes
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Willingness to help others
• High degree of drive to move tasks to completion

Compensation:

Base salary starting at $44,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience
