What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN) position at Specialized Surgical Center of Central NJ?
A great opportunity to work at a successful ASC within an excellent team environment. Currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work in Pre-op/PACU/OR. Experience in Ophthalmology is a plus. Must be a graduate of an accredited RN program, hold an active NJ license. BLS/ACLS. Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Reports directly to Director of Nursing.
Responsibilities of the Perioperative Nurse include the following:
- Interact appropriately and effectively with all members of the healthcare team: Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Nurses, Scrub Techs, Central Processing Department, patients, families, etc. Maintain HIPPA.
- Uses Standard Universal Precautions, appropriate hand hygiene, use of PPE, and safe practices to ensure personal, patient, and environmental safety.
- Attends all in-services, conferences, meetings. Complete all education, competences, and instructions for use.
- Can communicate and collaborate effectively with all perioperative team members to promote a safe surgical environment and ensure safe surgical outcomes.
