VISION
The Business Office Manager should be prime example of doing what is right on a daily basis. You should be able to be fair and treat all team members equally. Your role is vital in providing support to the business team including the Team Leads/Trainers, Patient Coordinators, Treatment Coordinators and Doctors. This person must be able to multi-task while maintaining quality work and a positive attitude. They provide a welcoming environment for all incoming business team members and show them the tools for success within the company. The Business Office Manager is a prime example of integrity and upholds OMS of Utah’s core values. They work directly with the doctors to plan and implement new practices to make OMS of Utah better. They also communicate frequently with the Clinical Office Manager and Revenue Cycle Manager to ensure office cohesion between teams and obedience to office policies.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Office Manager is responsible for the performance of the administrative team at all times, in areas such as record keeping, mail distribution, patient reception, scheduling, billing, insurance, and treatment coordination. This position is responsible for hiring, training, supervising, discipline, and making termination recommendations with respect to his/her team. This position is responsible for fostering communication between his/her team and upper management/owners, monitoring systems, and attending department head meetings, and leading team meetings.
Reports To: Regional Director and/or Practice Surgeon, as assigned
Location: Bountiful, Layton, Ogden and Pleasant View
Requirements
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sitting and standing/walking for long periods.
Moderate noise levels from dental and other office equipment.
Comfortable medical office/lab setting.
Hand dexterity and typing skills to work with standard software programs provided.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and lead a team effectively.
Near Vision - the ability to see details at close range (within a few feet) as required for computer software programs and the observation of subordinates’ work quality.
Excellent communication skills - Talking and writing to others to convey information effectively.
Good Mathematical aptitude in order to administer billing, insurance, and budgeting functions.
Organizational Skills – Ability to create systems and order, break large goals down into achievable tasks
Stress Management- Ability to maintain productivity and professionalism in fast-paced environment and stressful situations.
Good reading comprehension - understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
· Minimum four year experience in medical or dental office setting.
· Some managerial experience in medical or dental office setting.
