Perfusionist: Heart of the Operation
SpecialtyCare continues to expand our footprint in the Pacific Northwest and we are hiring a Chief Perfusionist to join our Portland/Vancouver Team. Our team has one of the best work/life balances that can be found in the perfusion world. We do 1000 cases annually with an 8-member team and rotates call equally. (1st call 1/8 weekdays and one weekend/month). Case complexity is mainly CABG and Valves, minimal emergent work with no ECMO. Hospital staff at all of our hospitals are top-notch. We work with very pleasant surgeons who have excellent results. We are open to considering perfusionists with less than five (5) years of experience for a staff role who are interested in growing into a leadership position. The perfusion management team in our market is well organized and works extremely well together.
This position services accounts in both Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA. You can live in either state and take advantage of cost of living differences unique to each. For example, there is no sales tax in Oregon but no state income tax in Washington which offers someone a great deal of flexibility. This area has access to world-class skiing 90 min. to the East in the Cascade Mountains as well as access to the ocean 90 min. to the West on the Oregon and Washington coasts. Puget Sound is only 90 min. to the North. The air is clean and fresh with very mild temperatures with almost zero snow. Everywhere you go, the area is green and alive and teaming with wildlife. Fishing and hunting in your own backyard. If you are a foodie, this area is known far and wide for its Pacific Northwest cuisine with literally hundreds of restaurants serving unique food that cannot be found anywhere else. It really is one of the most beautiful places in the country to live.

Position Requirements
- Graduate of Accredited Perfusion training program.
- Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) or meets other Company requirements as a perfusionist.
- Ability to work on Call; must live within 30 minutes from the hospital.
