Sales Tax Analyst
JOB PURPOSE: Compute, classify, record, and verify numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records. Assist in the accurate and timely preparation of annual reports and tax returns. Gather information and source documents requested by various tax auditors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews and manipulates data to prepares sales and use tax returns and associated journal entries
- Files business licenses for new stores, store relocations and license renewals
- Completes account reconciliation
- Prepares and distributes monthly reports
- Administrative duties
- Additional duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or at least 2 years of multi-state sales and use tax preparation experience
- Proficient in MS Office Suite products (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook)
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- Friendly with outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use 10-key by touch
