What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Cyber & IT Auditor position at SPECTRUM?
JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Cyber & IT Auditor is responsible for assisting in the execution of high quality audits, risk management over the IT infrastructure, applications and processes. Responsible for helping the team to deliver high quality internal audit results under the direction of Cyber & IT Audit Managers and Directors, including planning, performing IT risk assessments, and developing and executing test plans to assess design and effectiveness. Key focus areas are risk assessments, cyber security assessments, business continuity and disaster recovery assessments, and review of internal controls, corporate policy, laws, and regulations, as they relate to the Company's electronic assets.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Assist with the execution of planning, fieldwork, and reporting for specific projects established in the annual audit plan.
Assist with developing audit objectives, scope, audit plan, and procedures.
Prepare audit summaries and results to be shared with senior IT management.
Keep abreast of relevant business developments and evolving IT risk areas.
Develop and maintains effective relationships within the team and individuals throughout the organization.
Perform other duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to understand business and technology processes through discussions with Process Owners and independent research
Ability to understand and utilize cyber security, GRC, information technology, audit, control, and security frameworks such as BICSI, CIS, CISA, COBIT, COSO, CSA CCM, DFARS, ISO 27001, ITIL, Mitre Att&ck, NIST, PCI, TIA, Uptime Institute and SOX
Familiar with cyber and/or information security assessments, governance, risk, compliance assessments, IT audit methodologies and control frameworks of IT platforms, processes, systems, and controls
Familiar with various technologies including applications, databases, network architecture/security, operating systems, and platforms
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest degree of professional standards
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner
Ability to interact positively and communicate with all levels of staff and management
Ability to learn new technologies and tools
Detail oriented with emphasis on accuracy and consistency
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Business, Engineering or Finance
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Experience identifying, assessing and reporting on cyber and IT controls - 1
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Certifications (achieved or pursuing): CISA, CIA, CEH, CPT, GIAC, and/or GPEN
