JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Connectivity Technology Human Resources is part of a team of HR professionals supporting the Charter Connectivity Technology organization comprised of over 600 employees. This role serves as an HR Business Partner to the Connectivity Technology leadership to support and implement effective strategies to achieve organizational objectives. The Director combines HR mastery and industry knowledge to appropriately evaluate and resolve complex HR issues within a fast paced and changing business environment.
The Director, Connectivity Technology HR is responsible for implementing and managing human resources policies and programs in the areas of recruitment, employment, employee relations, talent management, workplace cultural initiatives, and equal opportunity employment in compliance with government regulations and company goals.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with respective client group(s), including support of senior executives, in order to understand the business challenges and to ensure effective and timely HR support
Provide thought partnership and guidance to business leaders on talent and performance management processes, career pathing, success planning initiatives, employee development, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness in support of departmental outcomes and objectives
Oversee all aspects of employee relations; ensure Company policies are administered fairly and consistently. Provide consultative support to managers and supervisors
Support organizational restructuring initiatives as business needs dictate, including oversight of transitions and communication throughout the client group(s)
Partner with compensation partners to provide competitive offers of employment for external and internal candidates based on organizational guidelines
In partnership with recruiting professionals and business hiring leaders, oversee recruiting and staffing process ensuring compliance with EEO, FCC and Affirmative Action; design and implement employee retention strategies
Ensure legal compliance with all applicable local state and federal employment laws, including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA and ADAAA to minimize risk/exposure to the company
Conduct employee investigations and oversee all escalated employee issues, including ethics point reports
Establish local procedures to ensure compliance with Company and regulatory agency requirements
Hire, train and manage performance and development of direct reports
Oversee Human Resources communications
Perform other duties as required
