JOB SUMMARY
The Mgr, L&D Quality & Standards is responsible for leading and supporting the development and execution of the Corporate Learning Solutions (CLS) team standards/quality framework directly affecting both deliverables and learner experiences. This position will ensure a simplified, predictable, and digestible learning experience for Charter employees while impacting performance and meeting business objectives. This position will play an ongoing role in the creation, maintenance, and alignment with the broader team vision grounded in instructionally sound and learner focused experiences.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Responsible for the creation of style guides to support standardization
Responsible for consistency, accuracy, and adherence to style guides and agreed upon standards supporting learner experience
Establish and monitor standards for accessibility or universal design
Assist with the maintenance and future development of team standards and guidelines supporting style guides, solution mapping, and common tools
Collaborate with vertical team leadership and HR Project Manager to coordinate and create processes to develop and assist with the standards and guidelines that are relevant to the CLS standards transformation
Lead ongoing standardization efforts with leadership team including meetings, transformation strategy and roadmap to help ensure effective documentation, retention, communication, and execution of the standards
Assist with developing and executing ongoing change management practices to help with adoption of the new standards as they continue to evolve
Provide training as needed to support the development of new standards
Execute project management methodologies and processes to ensure consistent and standardized project execution
Develop and maintain consistent standardized project documentation, oversee completion of action plans, and retain in a centralized repository while providing ongoing status updates to leadership
Collaborate with the entire CLS team and act as a standards and quality consultant throughout the design and implementation of project deliverables
Operationalize standards in a useable format and maintain those materials as needed
Perform other duties as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Instructional design or L&D experience
Ability to create process documentation (i.e. workflow maps, SOPs)
Ability to manage processes
Demonstrated presentation skills and expertise in communicating complex concepts
Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to impact results
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance as well as within a team
Experience in project management software a plus (i.e. Microsoft project)
Experience in flowchart and process documentation software a plus (i.e. Microsoft Visio, Promapp, etc)
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
Demonstrated analytical capacity to evaluate and solve simple and complex problems
Skilled in managing process enhancement activities
Demonstrated orientation to detail;
Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills
Demonstrated written, oral, customer service and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated effectiveness in leadership and ability to effectively interact and influence
Experience in continuous improvement and implementation
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Human Resource Development, Business Administration or related field required or equivalent work experience
