Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
- Operate cash registers, process transactions accurately, and handle cash with care.
- Maintain knowledge of products and promotions to effectively sell merchandise.
- Assist in stock management by receiving, organizing, and replenishing inventory on the sales floor.
- Support visual merchandising efforts to create an appealing store environment.
- Supervise junior staff members when needed, providing guidance and support.
- Utilize retail math skills to assist with inventory counts and sales reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and security.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash registers and cash handling procedures is essential.
- Strong skills in supervising staff are a plus.
- Ability to perform basic retail math calculations accurately.
