ACCOUNTING CLERK

Successful, growing company looking to fill an Accounting Clerk position. Family-owned business that lives and breathes our core values, looking for an individual who enjoys a positive culture, enjoys learning new skills, works in a fast-paced environment and wants diverse responsibilities along with being a part of a successful team and organization. This entry-level position is responsible for a wide range of general clerical, accounting and bookkeeping support functions under general supervision. This is a direct hire, permanent position.

Responsibilities:
Coding and posting cash receipts electronically while identifying trends in payment differences. Code and process accounts payable for selected companies. Monitor customer accounts for past-due payments including making business to business collection calls. Other duties as assigned.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Accounting experience in a production environment is a plus.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in clerical accounting, high school diploma and have technology aptitude. Associate degree in accounting or business, a plus. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and knowledge of accounting software, a plus. Team-player with a strong sense of urgency. Interpersonal and communication skills. Problem-solving and attention to detail. Must be able to have a flexible work schedule when workflow requires. Hybrid work environment with regular telecommuting hours (60%Office/40% Home) Work in a fast-paced environment.
