Responsibilities

Queries, cleans, and transforms data, as well as develops reports and scorecards to monitor key operational performance metrics

Serves as subject matter expert in airline performance data and as a main point of contact for related ad-hoc data requests, including root-cause identification

Analyzes and interprets data to optimize various aspects of the operation. Sample projects include, but are not limited to:

Selecting overall operational performance metrics and setting overall operational goals

Evaluating flight schedules and crew schedules to identify areas for improving operational efficiency and saving costs, while still ensuring good Guest experiences and maintaining crew quality of life

Optimizing turn times and buffers by station

Monitoring aircraft maintenance schedules and developing maintenance standards

Ensuring adequate operational (inflight, airport, etc.) team member staffing and resource utilization

Facilitates collaboration among business stakeholders in Operations, Airports, Crew, Network Planning, Marketing, IT, Finance, etc. to discuss and address operational challenges

Develops presentation materials for sharing analyses and results with senior leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Quantitative)
1-3 years' experience Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Data mining/manipulation and analysis skills (e.g., Excel, R, Python, SQL)
Data visualization skills (Microsoft Power BI preferred)
Attention to detail
Naturally curious with a solution driven mindset
Experience in travel/hospitality industry or in Operations preferred
Communicate Clearly, Think Critically
Domestic & International travel under 10% of time
Exert up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands are in excess of those of Sedentary work. Light work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
