We are a growing plant-based restaurant group adding a dynamic General Manager to our team at Spirit Elephant - A nationally recognized plant-based, upscale, full service restaurant located in Winnetka, IL.  Our ideal candidate must possess exceptional leadership and have well-rounded BOH/FOH/Leadership operations skills. This position requires exceptional leadership skills, tireless passion and enthusiasm, and good business sense and skills. The focus will be on best in class  customer service and results. Your responsibilities include everything from mentoring your leadership team to managing operations to creating an amazing, joyful customer experience. • Ensuring that food safety and security standards are met and adhered to consistently.
• Maintaining food service and production levels by leading/supporting strong BOH and FOH execution.
• Addressing performance issues quickly and respectfully by coaching, counseling, and managing any conflicts.
• Contributing ideas, thoughts, and solutions that result in increased productivity, higher retention, and improved operations.
• Full responsibility and accountability for location P&L and KPI success
• Develops, implements and supports existing and new SOPs, processes and policies consistently

What You've Got:

• 3 years’ in a restaurant general management role with a growing organization
• Experience booking/leading private events
• Catering experience
• Managed and developed 30 team members per shift
• A passion for hospitality, food and restaurant operations
• Ability and desire to drive exceptional hospitality for both our team and guests
• Entrepreneurial mindset - Gritty, scrappy and demonstrates a consistent penchant for working through the best of times and the worst of times
• Ability to lead, motivate, and build an efficient team in a fast paced environment
• Ability to champion a strong understanding and appreciation of plant-based eating and our mission
• Belief in and passion for our purpose and Wild Thing Restaurant Group core values
• Strong leadership behaviors, approachability, and a reputation as a role model
