Individual Home Support (IHS/ILS) Coach

Spirit Lifters seeks an IHS (Individualized Home Support) Coach to join our holistic wellness team. We want coaches who are interested in applying a holistic approach to helping people with disabilities thrive.

Starting Wage $17-18 per Hour Mileage Phone Reimbursement!

IHS Coach Schedule:

20 Hours T-F

Flexibility to add hours/adjust days upon hire.

Location: Coon Rapids/Anoka/Brooklyn Center

• Remote Option: IHS Coaches With Experience May be Trained to Pick up Paid On Call Weekends for Our 24 Hour Emergency Assistance/Crisis Line. Must be Active IHS Coach w Spirit Lifters working a min of 20 hours per week to be eligible for Paid On Call Weekends/Remote Position. $200/weekend.

What do IHS Coaches Do?

IHS Coaches visit people with disabilities and mental health challenges in their homes to help them maintaining their independence. We coach people on employment skills, housing skills, developing wellness practices, engaging in their community and improving their physical, mental and spiritual health.

Who Makes a Great IHS Coach?

The ideal candidate should be someone who can problem solve, enjoys people, is highly organized, energetic and flexible. IHS coaches need to have to be able to professionally and independently manage their own caseload. IHS coaches must be comfortable working 1:1 with the people we serve in their homes. This job requires a high level of professionalism, reliability and independence. It also helps to have a great sense of humor!

What Type of Experience Do You Need?

Candidates should have a bachelors degree and/or at least 2 years experience working with people with mental health challenges (group home, direct support professional, job coaching, wellness coaching or other social service experience is helpful). People with a Holistic Health background (reiki, physical fitness, nutrition, meditation, art, music or sound therapy, healing coach) are encouraged to apply.
