Splunk is seeking a highly motivated, inherently curious, results oriented individual to join our dynamic pre-sales team. You will be the primary technical advisor for your customers, and their technical advocate within Splunk.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the regional sales team to develop strategic and technical account plans for some of Splunk’s largest customers.
- Align deeply with strategic customers to understand their existing complex Splunk deployments, business drivers and corporate initiatives.
- Apply rich discovery skills to uncover and document new use cases that drive adoption and increased value for our customers.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align customer initiatives with product capabilities.
- Demonstrate and evangelize Splunk’s products and solutions to customers, with a strong focus on value-based differentiators.
- Collaborate, leverage dynamic presentation skills, and communicate effectively to both technical and business audiences.
- Succeed at working within all levels of large, complex strategic organizations from the C-suite down to individual engineers.
- IMPORTANT: We can teach you the technology, and educate you on processes. You should have the soft skills necessary to technically advise customers, a strong sense of self-motivation, an insatiable curiosity about what “is possible” with technology, the desire to work with an awesome team and a positive, fun-loving attitude.
Requirements
- 7 years pre-sales and Technical Account Management experience in selling and supporting software products to large strategic customers.
- Strong interpersonal skills, both written and oral, and an ability to communicate complex ideas to all levels of the business.
- Strong technical fundamentals within Observability and/or Security markets (examples include cloud architecture, networking, systems administration, development, application management, operations, etc.)
- Experience selling and working with pure SaaS solutions in multi-tenant architectures.
- Should be available to travel to visit prospects and customers in the region
- Desire to learn, grow and be a part of our expanding and dynamic Team
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or substantial relevant on the job experience
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Please note that the On Target Earnings (OTE) ranges are guidelines and for candidates who receive an offer, the OTE pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out below, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to OTE, this role is eligible for benefits, and may be eligible for equity

OTE Pay Ranges
For sales roles the ranges are expressed as On Target Earning or OTE (OTE = base incentives in the form of sales incentive plans).
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
On Target Earnings: $184,000 - 253,000 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), New York (excludes NYC Metro Area), and all other states.
On Target Earnings: $176,000 - 242,000 per year
