POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for the overall repair and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical player terminals. The Slot Tech Supervisor is responsible for supervising Slot Technicians on assigned shifts in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures, and internal controls. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all-inclusive for this position) Must be willing to work with all regulatory agencies, i.e., Gaming Commission, State, and Federal. Must learn and ensure policies and procedures are being followed per the departments' Internal Controls. Must adhere to the Spokane Tribe Casino policies and procedures. Must adhere to our customer service standards by providing excellent customer service. Monitor employees within the department to ensure customer service standards are being executed. Observe gamblers for signs of cheats, scams, or irregularities in play. Notify the proper personnel. Responsible for the coordination and supervision of all slot technicians on assigned shifts by assigning responsibilities and duties and assisting them if needed. Evaluate machines that fail to perform to expectations and report the failure to the vendor and Slot Technical Manager. Must be proactive and identify problems, solutions, and team member issues. Follow up with the Slot Technical Manager and Director of Slot Operations. Checks all gaming-related equipment for evidence of cheating or mechanical malfunction. Processes the necessary paperwork for auditing and data processing purposes for the initial set-up and checkout of new player terminals. Responsible for the breakdown, relocation, and re-set-up of machines and stands to be relocated. Will initiate needed repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on gaming devices and CEK to ensure maximum machine performance on the casino floor and in the shop. Repairs slot tracking system. Ensures that all equipment and furniture including bases and chairs are up to appearance standards. Held accountable, to a high degree, for maintaining accurate and thorough departmental records and reports. Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises Slot Technicians on assigned shifts. Able to work periodically under conditions of extreme urgency (creating higher levels of job stress) JOB QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum three (3) years slot technician experience required. Supervisory experience preferred. Electronics Engineer, Technology or IT degree preferred but not required. Excellent Guest Service skills. Ability to train, lead and motivate team members. Ability to work independently and use good judgment. Excellent administrative skills. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers. Must be able to multi-task. While performing the duties of this job the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. You may be subject to secondhand smoke when in the casino environment. REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations: Obtain and maintain a License B with Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission. Attend required training sessions offered by the Casinos. Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations. Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco. Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member's department. Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance. Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
