Engineering Technician
Job Posting for Engineering Technician at Sportsman Boats Mfg.
Sportsman Boats continues to grow and is looking for an Engineering Technician with electrical experience. The Engineering Technician is responsible for constructing wiring harness assembly for marine electrical systems by reading engineering CAD Drawings.
What you will do:
- Create and implement wiring harness systems for 20-35” boats
- Ensure that all electrical systems meet safety standards
- Work with engineers to ensure that electrical wiring harnesses are created and functioning properly
- Experience with marine electrical systems strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience working in production.
- Detail oriented
- Troubleshoot and problem solving skills
- Experience with prototyping designs
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Associates Degree in Engineering or a related Field Required
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, lift, and bend for 9 hours or more daily
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00am – 2:45pm, this position requires some work outside of normal operating hours to include evenings and weekends.
