Job Details:
This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position located in downtown Lewiston. The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:15pm (no weekend hours required).
Job Summary:
This position supports members with debit card services which include day-to-day functions, and monthly/annual processes. This includes developing and implementing programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, resolving member debit card issues, and collaborating with our other Debit Card Specialist. The position will receive teller training to provide coverage in case of call outs or vacations.
Job Duties:
- Order, cancel, & re-issue debit, credit, and instant issue cards
- Process changes to cardholder accounts, such as address and name changes, limit increases, & travel notifications
- Review, process, & resolve card disputes & fraudulent transactions
- Process debit card cancellations and reissue requests; work with third party applications; update card status in related systems and tracks card orders
- Review fraud trends and complete common point of purchase analysis and makes recommendations to management for card reissues
- Stay current on industry trends and regulations related to fraud and processing claims and disputes
- Promote a positive relationship between the members (internal and external) and the company, and understand that service delivery to members is the number one priority of the company
- Communicate any issues or process improvements to management when identified
- Occasional cash handling and teller drawer balancing
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent required
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and convey a positive attitude while interacting with both internal team and customers
- One to two years of related experience in a specialized
- Teller experience preferred but not required
- Fraud or Risk management in credit union or financial industry experience preferred
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality at all times
- Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
