Job Title: Patient Access Specialist
At Springfield Clinic, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our front desk team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient experiences and ensuring seamless communication between our patients, providers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls, identify the caller's needs, and route calls to the appropriate area or take messages as required.
- Assist patients with the check-in process, verify demographic and insurance information, and update as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Schedule appointments for providers, maintaining a high level of accuracy and ensuring efficient use of provider time.
- Collaborate with onsite departments and Care Team members to align scheduling efforts and assist patients at the first point of contact.
- Document patient requests to the Care Team through our electronic health record system.
- Work system reports for assigned providers, manage office bump lists, wait lists, normal letters, and overdue orders.
- Proactively identify process improvements and work to execute solutions to enhance the patient and associate experience.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Comfortable with technology and able to learn new systems quickly.
- Preferred: Administrative or technical background, with a minimum of one year of medical office experience.
