Responsibilities
- Assist the sales staff in all sales related duties for group, corporate and related business clients.
- Process all incoming business leads as directed by the Director of Sales.
- Assist in the servicing of in-house groups.
- Front Desk/Sales liaison for Sales Training to Desk Agents when applicable.
- Create contracts, prepare Group Masters/Resumes, LNR quarterly and annual letters.
- Confirm accuracy of rooming lists, for assigned Hotels; including changes, modifications and actualized group data/pick-up.
- Prepare Welcome letters/gifts, Guest appreciation Materials and assemble Sales call bags/Materials.
- Maintain files, contracts and sales databases as per company standards.
- Ensure efficient inter-departmental communication of group needs to hotel operations staff.
- Prepare for, participate in, and report out on all necessary data for internal meetings, conference calls, reporting, planning, training, and other communications required for this position.
- Execute assigned sales reporting and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Prospecting - Social Medial/Internet/Print research for all segments.
- Follow-up on all special projects and assignments given by the Director of Sales.
- Front desk/Guest Service/Breakfast shifts may be required based on business needs.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 1 years hotel experience.
- Strong preference for team members who have Hilton and/or Marriott systems experience.
- Strong organization and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong relationship building abilities.
- Polished written and verbal communication skills along with a focus on exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to push and/or pull equipment/luggage weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Flexible schedule; weekend and holidays may apply.
