US Wholesale Pipe & Tube, (a division of SPS) founded in 1960, is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of galvanized steel pipe and tubing. Headquartered in Holiday, FL, US Wholesale has an experienced staff with over 100 collective years of pipe and tubing experience. We supply a wide range of pipe and tubing, both galvanized and uncoated, DOM, and structural. We also provide value-added fabrication services including (but not limited to) cutting, swaging, bending, welding, and punching.
Position Description:
The Business Development Manager will work out of the Holiday, FL office and will be responsible for generating new business with heavy focus on our DOM sales. We are seeking dynamic experienced professional to fill Business Development Manager with aspects of product management as well as Sales specialist. This position involves frequent travel to visit prospective and established customers while maintaining effective work relationships with the appropriate sales staff and management. This person will be the point person for procurement of material as well as stocking levels at USW warehouses.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow the product markets with a heavy focus on DOM tubing.
- Target, cultivate and close new business opportunities
- Develop strong customer relationships at multiple levels with new and existing accounts
- Develop sales proposals for existing and potential customers
- Identify and develop solutions for existing and potential customers
- Document customer visits and initiate internal action as required to take care of any problems
- Track daily sales data and quotes
- Attend various local, regional, and national industry-related tradeshows
- Discuss goals, strategies, and customer relationships with sales staff and management when appropriate
- Respond in a timely manner to internal and external requests
- Take responsibility and ownership of customer challenges and focused markets.
Physical & Work Requirements:
- Frequent travel by car and airplane (1-2 times/month)
- Self-directed work schedule that involves:
- Fly into the territory on “as needed” basis
- Travel by vehicle on a regular basis
- Ability to work outside of regular work hours (8 am to 5 pm)

- Experience in the tubular industry
- Understanding and experience in DOM marketplace
