Director of Finance and Accounting

Position Location: Sunrise, FL

SR Technologies (SRT) is expanding and we’re looking for a Director of Finance and Accounting to join our team! The Director of Finance and Accounting will be responsible for managing the company finances of SR Technologies, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of BlueHalo.  This role includes financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting. The position objective is to protect and oversee the company’s revenues and profits to achieve full financial control and ensure sustainable growth. This is a hands-on position with company-wide visibility reporting to the BlueHalo Controller. The successful Director of Finance and Accounting will require someone well-versed in all aspects of financial management and accounting. 

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Reports to BlueHalo Controller and works with SRT’s CEO and COO to align program financial resources, understand company performance and execution against the annual plan.
• Oversee the General Ledger and Accounting functions including compliance with GAAP and FAR requirements.
• Optimize accounting processes to ensure timely and accurate monthly financial reporting.
• Ensure that financial resources support the mission of the company.
• Analyze actual vs planned program performance.
• Evaluate proposal profitability and risks.
• Provide responses to audit, tax, and compliance requests.
• Manages the monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting close process including account reconciliations.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities in areas including financial reporting, internal controls and procedures and cost controls. 
• Coordinate and direct the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, and procurement activities.
• Supervise a staff of three accountants overseeing accounting, payroll, accounts payable, billing and collections.  
• Coordinate deliverables with the Corporate SVP of Accounting and Corporate SVP of Finance of parent company.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field; additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a product manufacturing environment 
• Minimum five (5) years progressively responsible professional experience managing accounting and finance organizations, including experience with general ledger analysis/reconciliation and financial statement preparation and presentation.
• Demonstrable and successful experience as Corporate Controller or VP/Director of Finance of a $50 million revenue company
• Expertise with automated accounting systems including general ledger, materials management, inventory, accounts receivable accounts payable and intercompany transactions.
• Demonstrated experience managing a high-performing team in a multi-site structure to include professional development and mentorship.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of program planning, organizational structure, and budgeting.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience managing indirect cost pools under a government contracting environment.
• Public accounting experience at national or large regional firm.
• Public company experience.
• CPA licensure (even if inactive).
• Deltek Costpoint knowledge.
