POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing the Human Resources department with administrative support will lead, plan, and execute the new hire experience and employee engagement activities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates hiring and onboarding processes utilizing ADP applicant tracking system, including phone screens, interviews, and processing background and drug screens
- Leads new hire orientations; maintaining an adequate supply of orientation materials and preparing orientation packets
- Ensures completion of all new hire onboarding processes, both electronic and paper
- Plans and executes employee events such as luncheons, celebrations, and engagement activities
- Administer Let’s Chat program and stay interviews to ensure employee issues are addressed timely
- Maintain adequate supply of logo items for new hires and giveaways
- Administer the uniform program, including billing
- Administer the safety shoe and safety glasses reimbursement program
- Administer the Logistibucks program including coordinating and managing orders and billing
- Maintain employee files to established standards
- Respond appropriately to factual employee and management inquiries
- Coordinate travel, as needed, including rental cars and hotel reservations
- Other duties as required and assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed mostly in a controlled atmosphere. Some exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures—for short periods of time is possible. The HR Coordinator will be required to sit 75%, stand10%, and walk 15% of the work day. The ability to lift and carry 10-25 lbs regularly for short distances is required. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear. All employees are required to follow safety standards, adhere to Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
- Minimum 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training
- PC literate to include Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to read reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
