What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dragline Operator position at SRM Concrete?
*Must have a history and experience in operating Friction Crane Draglines*
This role is responsible for performing work within various areas of the sand pits and operating various heavy equipment. This position's primary responsibility is performing all tasks that require the use of the dragline excavator. In addition, the position will follow all safety and plant rules while working as a member of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
Ensure safe practices to include utilizing appropriate PPE, performing safety hazard checks, and correcting and eliminating safety hazards.
Ensure environmental and land compliance, quality standards, and housekeeping.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and take appropriate corrective actions.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures in completing daily tasks.
Other duties as assigned or needed.
Additional Requirements:
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends
Work well in a team with minimum supervision
Demonstrated ability to operate mobile equipment, with excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
Basic math, reading, and writing skills are required (English)
Good communication skills - verbal and listening
Working Environment: While performing the duties of this position the employee must be able to travel through the aggregate plant to include walking over obstacles, climb stairs and ladders, lift heavy or awkward parts, wear personal protective equipment such as hardhat, safety glasses, fall protection, respirator, etc. In addition, the position is outdoors and will include exposure to extreme heat and cold weather conditions.
