ACLS/BLS required
Willing to train someone with minimal experience
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
· Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing
· Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience and Qualifications:
· Minimum of 2 years RN experience in an acute care hospital setting.
· Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills.
· Demonstrate emotional maturity and ability to function effectively when under stress.
Licenses/Certificates:
· Current Texas license to practice as an RN
· Current certification in BLS/CPR
· Current certification in ACLS
· Must complete/maintain required annual competencies per hospital policy.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of nursing care during assigned shifts.
· Delegates care to non-nursing staff as appropriate.
· Works with medical staff members to ensure that the medical plan of care is implemented and collaborates with physicians to alter the plan of care as needed.
· Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
· Is cognizant of and maintains appropriate standards of infection control, safety, and quality in the provision of patient care.
· Adheres to the facility's core values of dignity, stewardship, integrity, and diversity.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

- This position requires work with hands in water and occasionally with or near chemicals.
- Must be able to continuously deal effectively with stress created by residents, multiple tasks, noises, and interruptions, and work cooperatively as part of the health care team while maintaining a pleasant attitude.
