Location: Manassas Park, VA with ability to work Remote
*Part-Time (10 hours/week), Monday through Friday (Hours of Operation 9AM-8PM)
SSI is seeking a junior to mid-level IT support tech to provide basic IT services to office personnel on a part time basis. Hours and pay are flexible based on experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and configuration of new laptops onto the corporate IT network
- Troubleshooting of connectivity issues, email account issues, and other routine IT support matters
- Administration of company MS Exchange accounts, configuration of new users, removal of old users
- Assistance with operation system upgrading, planning for tech refreshes, and evaluation of hardware/software status
- Installation and troubleshooting of new hardware/software components
- Interface with providers of corporate accounts such as MS, security software, VPN hosting etc.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Candidate must possess verbal and written communication skills sufficient to complete online and on-the-job training.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly, pick up new concepts and technologies via on-the-job training and assigned reading.
- Understanding of client/server IT environments.
- Knowledge of and/or hands-on experience with current Windows and/or Apple operating systems.

- Must have 1 year of IT experience either in a classroom or professional setting
- Must be capable of passing a simple background check
