The Ultrasound team takes pride in the excellent team we have and the care we provide at SLU Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center and academic institute. Our sonographers work alongside our Residents and Attendings, specifically our world renown liver and kidney transplant team who relies on our technical skills post operatively. We use GE Logiq E9 machines and typically scan abdomens, small parts, and gyn/first trimester ER's.

Job Summary:
Performs ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, small parts and gynecological procedures under the supervision of a radiologist
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Performs ultrasound procedures and examinations according to established department guidelines.
General ultrasound specific: Performs ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, small parts and gynecological procedures under the supervision of a radiologist according to guidelines set forth by American College of Radiology (ACR).
Supports all functions, goals and objectives of the department as well as development of any new programs.
Safety/Infection Control: Practices according to safety and infection control policies.
Provides service excellence to the customers of Saint Louis University Hospital by delivering timely, high quality care in a courteous and respectful manner.
DISCLAIMER: Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Education :
General Ultrasound Department: Graduate of an approved AS program in Medical Sonography or scheduled to graduate from approved BS program with RDMS(AS) certification
Minimum Experience:
General Ultrasound Department: 1 or more year's experience in abdominal, musculoskeletal, breast and obstetrics and gynecology preferred
Required Course: (licensure/certification)
General Ultrasound Department: BLS, RDMS(AB), preferred additional certifications in (BR) and (OB/GYN)
