Business/Office Manager
The Business/Office Manager will assist the pastor, as directed, in the administration of the human, financial, and physical resources of the parish, as well as oversee rectory office functions, including parishioner and sacramental record keeping.
Personal Qualifications
- Practicing Catholic with an integrated and balanced personal spirituality and a commitment to continuing faith formation.
- Demonstrated involvement in current parish and willing to become an active member of this parish.
- Sensitive to the pastoral mission of the church with knowledge and experience at the parish level.
- Willing to participate in continuing education in parish administration.
Professional Qualification
- BS in Business Administration and/or
- Three to five years of applicable, job-related experience in:
o Business Management
o Personnel management
o Fiscal management
o Facilities management
o Computer systems management and computer literacy
o Database management
Responsibilities
Finances
- Coordinate the financial business of the parish, including accounts payable and receivable, in collaboration with the archdiocesan Shared Accounting office.
- Coordinate the annual budget process in the parish, monitor finances against budget, and attend monthly meetings of the Budget & Finance committee.
Vendors and Facilities
- Establish and maintain vendor contacts; manage and oversee contracts.
- Coordinate the maintenance and continued development of parish facilities.
Human Resources
- Maintain personnel records and supervise designated staff members.
- Coordinate payroll, in conjunction with the archdiocesan Payroll department.
Parishioner and Sacramental Support
- Maintain and analyze parishioner and sacramental databases.
- Record and reconcile parishioner contributions.
Communications
- Address requests of visitors or as received via phone and email.
- Manage office and pastor correspondence.
