The medical assistant performs a variety of clinical/clerical duties and tasks under the supervisor of the professional and registered nurse to provide effective patients care.
Requirements:Candidate must have:
- Acute Care Experience (hospital)
- Emergency Department Preferred
- Ability to work weekends is a must
- Direct patient care is essential.
- Ability to multi task.
- HS Diploma or Equivalence.
- Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program.
- 1 year of previous experience in an acute care medical setting or 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Bilingual English/ Spanish preferred.
Knowledge of computer technology including but not limited to patient registration systems preferred.
