Nurse Practitioner, Cardiology

Catholic Health Physician Partners is currently looking for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider -( NP Nurse Practitioner)to join our cardiology Practice in Riverhead.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nurse Practitioner for Non-Invasive Cardiology. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision, coordination, and assurance of comprehensive nursing care using nursing process and pertinent standards of care, the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions, and performance of therapeutic corrective, and prescriptive measures of the designated outpatient patient population within a collaborative practice agreement established with a specific physician on the staff at Catholic Health.

Responsibilities will include:

• The NP will assist collaborating physicians in providing assessments, diagnosis, care and treatment of patients in an outpatient cardiology practice setting.
• The NP will work at a highly independent capacity
• Appropriate ordering of tests and medications
• Receiving, interpreting, and communicating internal and external testing results
• Consult and coordinate with multidisciplinary team in formulating an appropriate patient plan of care

Requirements:

• Cardiology and electrophysiology experience
• Must be able to work Saturday rotations as needed
• Proficiency in 12 Lead EKG testing
• Nuclear Stress Testing &/or Stress Testing experience
• Bachelor of Science, Masters preferred in an AMA approved NP program
• NYS Nurse Practitioner License
• NP Board Certification
• BLS and ACLS certification
