Job Description:


The primary responsibility of the St. Clair County Circuit Clerk’s Office is to serve the public in a timely and cost-effective manner, providing all court records, information, and services with courtesy and efficiency.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Regular and timely attendance
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively use a computer with proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • Type a minimum of 30 words a minute
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve concerns
  • Ability to learn case management systems in the St. Clair County Circuit Clerk’s Office
  • Manage day to day tasks as assigned
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced work environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to read computer screens

Educational Requirements:

HS diploma or equivalent
