What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator, Student Services position at St. Claire HealthCare?
The role of the Coordinator, Student Services is to perform a variety of duties including coordination of clinical rotations for students in the NE AHEC region and St. Claire. Duties/Responsibilities: ### #Before the rotation date, coordinate and facilitate clinical rotations and all necessary logistics (i.e., housing/preceptor) for students in the Northeast AHEC region and non-AHEC rotations at St Claire.# ### #Facilitates on-site St. Claire housing, including assigning housing to students and other authorized personnel. Also, it facilitates all off-site (non-St. Claire) housing within the NE AHEC 17-county region. ### #Facilitates all credentialing paperwork between St. Claire and UK and UofL for applicable resident rotations at St. Claire. ### #Assures that all students/residents have an applicable contract between the academic institution and St. Claire before rotating.# ### #Coordinates monthly student and preceptor social events, including, but not limited to, monthly breakfasts. ### #Develops and enhances professional relationships with Community-based faculty, UK/UL/COM clinical coordinators, other AHEC student services coordinators, regional universities, and community and technical colleges.# ### #Coordinates the NE AHEC presence at all UK/UL AHEC/COM fairs and conferences to include booth theme, preparation, and recruitment materials. ### #Verifies and submits quarterly student reports, annual reports, and other necessary paperwork as requested by the Center Director. Attend quarterly Advisory Board meetings and the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville AHEC meetings as relevant. ### #Facilitates collaboration with the Health Careers Education Coordinator to disburse annual recruitment packets/materials for the high school health professions program (i.e., PEPP) and corresponds with each guidance counselor or teacher in the NEAHEC region. ### #Seeks opportunities for collaboration and partnering with other academic or community agencies to promote the AHEC and its mission. ### #Develops an understanding of healthcare institutions and providers within the Northeast AHEC region. ### #Oversight of the College of Osteopathic Medicine hub site in Ashland and Morehead, as well as any future expansions in the region. ### #Assumes a key role in planning faculty development activities for the Rural Physician Leadership program. Education: Minimum of Bachelor#s Degree in health care or related field preferred## # Experience:# Minimum one year of work experience in a healthcare setting required Licensure/Certification:# Valid Driver#s License #
