What are the responsibilities and job description for the MDS Coordinator position at St. Clare-Newport?
St. Clare – Newport is seeking a compassionate and detail oriented RN or LPN Nurse, who will serve as the Resident Assessment Coordinator for St. Clare-Newport . Qualified candidate will perform such tasks, including but not limited to:
· Resident assessment and evaluation of quality of care being provided
· Preparing and submitting electronic submissions to the national Medicare and Medicaid database
· Ensuring accuracy of medical records and coding procedures
The MDS Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the clinical reimbursement. This includes providing support, strategy, expertise and guidance related to clinical reimbursement and will oversee facilities reimbursement programs and practices to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations.
Education, Training and/ or Experience:
· Must be a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse, valid and current license
· AANAC RAC-CT and RAC-CTA, certified
· Associates, Bachelors or Masters in nursing required
· Expertise in PDPM
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in long term care
· Experience in Long Term Care Regulations'
