QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years' work-related experience
- Bilingual
- Basic cashiering skills
- Knowledge of customer service principles
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Kitchen Helper is responsible for performing routine kitchen duties, such as the preparation and serving of breakfast and/or lunch to students and staff, dishwashing, general cashiering and cleaning.
SALARY:
$16.49 - $17.38/hr (subject to negotiated agreement and work experience)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Preparation of food as directed by head cooks
- Set up serving lines
- Serve food to students and staff
- Keep service area and food dispensers cleaned and stocked
- Count/record the quantity of food sold on daily and weekly sheets
- Makes short order food as needed (ice cream, malts, pop)
- Compiles food and supply orders
- Receives money for cash sales in ala-cart line
- Assist with cleaning the kitchen, cooking equipment and entire serving area, including washing dishes with power washer
- Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL FACTORS:
- Frequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, seeing, and repetitive motions
- Light Work: lifting up to 25 pounds and/or exerting up to 20 of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
