Description
St. Croix Hospice is adding a senior member to help lead and manage a talented team of marketing & communications experts in supporting the needs of the agency. The director will develop and oversee a variety of marketing communications functions including internal communications, media, social media and digital marketing. This position requires a collaborative and strategic leader, excited to work across teams to maintain and strengthen the agency brand and provide excellent support and customer service within the company. The position reports to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications and works closely with senior executives on high-level communication. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a passion for the job, able to drive creativity and enthusiasm in others.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement integrated, high visibility internal and external communications plans for diverse audiences, ensuring timely, on-target delivery.
Support a growing internal communications function, and external digital, social media and market brand presence that deepens engagement, drives business and builds partnership.
Manage PR, media, social media, internal communication, advertising and digital marketing functions and staff.
Develop, implement and monitor related marketing and communications budgets.
Lead departmental project management with an ability to execute a number of diverse projects simultaneously while managing others, taking initiative and making progress with competing priorities.
Monitor industry trends, analyze impact and ROI of department activity, and identify cross-promotional opportunities.
Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of the company’s business.
Create, edit and proof compelling content which may include key messages, collateral, scripts, internal communication, digital content and more.
Maintain the agency brand, voice, style, as well as department policies and procedures including media, social media and photography.
Qualifications
5-10 years’ experience as a Marketing and/or Communications Director. Healthcare background highly desirable.
Experience developing, managing and executing highly successful communications strategies with measurable results.
Previous people management experience.
Excellent leadership, project management, organizing, analytical and creative thinking skills.
Strong background in controlling budgets and allocating resources.
Up to speed with current and digital marketing techniques and best practices.
Ability to create new ideas, self-direct, delegate and lead with an outcome-oriented mindset.
Superior verbal and written communication skills, with a portfolio of work.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
