Job Description :
The Transporter is responsible for the daily transporting of patients requiring imaging studies to the Imaging Services Department.
Transporter will also transport imaging supplies, x-rays, imaging specimens, x-ray reports, etc. to and from the necessary areas of the hospital.
Responsibilities :
- Transport patients to and from various locations within the hospital
- Confirm patient record against imaging requisition prior to transporting
- Assist patients on and off stretchers and / or imaging tables
- Assist technologists in the movement of patients as needed
- Maintain all necessary transport logs
- Stock all imaging rooms with necessary supplies on a daily basis
- Clean stretchers and wheelchairs after each use
Requirements :
- High School diploma or Equivalency required
- Good communication skills
