- Directly supervises scheduling and all functions of all Safety Security Staff. Ensures timely reporting & resolution of situations of a potential threat to persons & property. Assures surveillance is conducted of campuses, including Safety Security Systems operations. Assures shift members complete training in Safety Security topics. Assists Security Manager in all daily functions and special activities.

- Core Job Functions
- Trains all new officers assigned to supervising shift. Assists with updating SOP as needed when advised by manager and when duties change. Assists manager with risk assessments to use as training tools when needed. Keeps all SOP up to date and review per Joint Commission standards as needed. Ensures new officers are trained for facility familiarization and policy understanding and compliance.
- Responsible for making schedules for the department and completing payroll when manager is out. Assigns officers for special events and off campus needs.
- Develops effective relationships with all security department personal through clear communication addressing customer service inquiries in a timely and accurate fashion. Communicates to management personnel regarding issues and or situations occurring within the facility, via both written and verbal communication methods.
- Assists manager with incident report systems, and video surveillance system utilizing data to evaluate environment and safety risk. Responsible for monitoring fire alarm system, checking and reporting issues in a timely manner to ensure systems are working properly. Inspect all other assigned equipment to include but not limit to security vehicles, security equipment, CCTV and silent knight system. Data Entry officer ensures new reporting system is properly maintained and assists manager when updates are needed.
- Coordinates and assures staff participate in and conduct fire and emergency drills . Assures inspection of hazardous areas are conducted. Assure documentation is completed for drills, inspections and shift activities.
- Coordinates with manager to evaluate applications and conduct interviews to hire qualified candidates for security team. Conduct annual evaluations when needed.
