Job Overview:
Responsible for the daily management of all operations related to EHR (Employee Health Record) clinical applications. Accountable for planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, communication / reporting of all maintenance and support activities in order to ensure the operational needs of the business are met in a timely manner. Responsible for managing staff in order to ensure optimal resource utilization. Responsible for tactical planning, oversight, and continuous improvement of the design, implementation, and support of the organization’s electronic health record to ensure that the stabilization, standardization and optimization is complete. Interacts and coordinates with business stakeholders to ensure that organizational goals are planned for and met and also coordinates with other teams within the Information Technology department. Responsible for staff growth / career planning, mentoring and coaching of direct reports. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. As a member of the IT Management Team, required to be On Call to ensure that critical user issues that require immediate attention are addressed during non-business hours.
Qualifications
Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts acquired through a completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field and three to five years of professional experience in the areas of Healthcare Information Technology, Application Implementation, and Life Cycle and Project Management experience.
Prior management experience supervising staff.
Advanced Clinical licensures in a Clinical area required, e.g. RN, Pharmacist, etc.
Work requires analytical ability to collect information from diverse sources and apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems.
