The Basics Of This Position

The HR Service Center Manager will lead the delivery of a high quality and responsive HR Services, coordinating the workflow and ensuring that the operations team is actively engaged in the continuous improvement of all HR services.

The HR Service Center Manager ensures smooth procedures, and supervises the HR department’s day-to-day administrative tasks. The HR Service Center Manager ensures that the service center performs its tasks while assisting other departments in an efficient way. These tasks include maintaining files on employees’ data, processing data-entry within various HR Systems and monitoring audit reports.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise the delivery of HR services, managing the workflow to increase accuracy, quality and timeliness of services to all customers of the HR department.
  • Facilitate the development of standard operating procedures and service standards, with a goal to standardize processes, deliver high quality service and efficiency.
  • Manage and/or assist with various HR projects.
  • Responsible for staying up-to-date on general labor law compliance and HR best practices. Ensure alignment of appropriate policies and procedures with new and changed regulatory requirements.
  • Perform a variety of specialized and analytical duties involved in Workers Compensation claims and processing; ensure compliance with applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations; maintain current knowledge of current legislation regarding Workers Compensation issues.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Analysts, Information Technology and Payroll to effectively maintain database systems and develop processes that meet business need.
  • Supervision of the HR Service Center team in all aspects of HR Administration including acting as first point of contact for internal and external customers regarding recruitment, pay and benefits, policies and procedures.
  • Monitor HR inboxes to ensure that all queries receive a response within expected timescales and complex issues are escalated to specialists and /or senior members of the HR team as appropriate.
  • Track the activity sent to the service center and maintain a knowledge base system that provides information that customers need.
  • Accurately and confidentially maintain employee records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, And Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field and 5 years of experience in Human Resources Operations or related area or equivalent.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
