Overview
St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking a Facility Designer to join our Construction Planning and Design team.
We are seeking an experienced individual with a background in Architecture to support planning, development, and research needs for various St. Luke's Health System construction projects.
Must be proficient in the following areas:
Drafting,Construction document and file management, Building code research, Developing plans for construction
*Proficiency in Rivet and Procore highly preferred
Required for Consideration:
Associate's Degree OR HS Diploma and 2 years of relevant experience in the following role: CAD designer in architecture or engineering

Responsibilities
- Maintains the electronic CAD files, blueprints, and as-built drawings for all SLHS Facilities.
- Performs CAD drafting functions in conjunction with the Facility Planner. Uses rough sketches, notes, and voice instructions to create final product. Creates, modifies and controls detailed two- and three-dimensional drawings.
- Provides on-site field measurements for creating as-built drawings.
- Assists the Facility Planner with the design of remodel projects. Typically, responsible parts of larger project.
- Assists the Facility Planner with Life Safety drawings for all required SLHS Facilities.
- Works closely with other SLHS departments to provide timely assistance on projects.
- Helps with the development and maintenance of SLHS design standards for Facilities and Clinics.
- Meets with clients to understand the scope and schematic of projects and/or what the clients are requesting.
- Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter including but not limited to: CAD, building codes, architectural and engineering plans, etc.
- Handles routine issues using knowledge of procedures and policies. Refers complex issues to higher-level staff.
