Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate phone-based Patient Access Specialist to join our healthcare team. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing assistance with scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring a seamless registration process. Your role is crucial in facilitating positive patient experiences and maintaining efficient operations within the healthcare facility. This position is phone-based at a St. Luke's Clinic or Hospital.

What you can expect from this role:

  • Registration, scheduling, and referral coordination for patients via phone
  • Discussions on financial options and/or explanations of insurance coverage, including authorizations, verifications, and estimates via phone
  • Use a variety of technologies, tools and resources to support departmental workflows
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications for this Role:

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
