Medical Physicists (Radiation Oncology) (Multiple Openings) – St. Luke’s University Hospital (Bethlehem, Easton, Stroudsburg, Allentown, Lehighton, Quakertown, Orwigsburg, & Coaldale, PA): Conduct calibration & testing of radiation producing equipment, including linear accelerators, Computed Tomography (CT) simulators, and High Dose Rate units (HDR), in accordance with state and federal regulations. Measure radiation characteristics and collect dosimetry data for clinical use; perform dose calculation/measurement to radiosensitive organs; supervise/perform radiation shielding calculation/measurement & design for patient treatment; conduct patient chart review for treatment progression & accuracy; & coordinate equipment repair/maintenance. Assist Chief Physicist, physicians, and therapists in patient treatment & simulation. Requires: Master’s degree in Biophysics, Medical Physics, Physics, Medical Radiation Physics, Energy, Material Sciences or related. Will accept foreign equivalent. Position requires completion of a 24 month CAMPEP (Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs) accredited Radiation Therapy Physics Residency Program.
