The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. Our unit has an innovative culture that will challenge and reward the best! We care for moms and babies from across western Colorado and eastern Utah. As a regional referral center, the variety of experiences is more extensive than what you would anticipate in a city our size. We have an OB/GYN hospitalist on staff 24/7 to support our nurses in providing the very best care, and a Level III NICU. We are located on the 6th floor of our tower, which offers gorgeous, panoramic views of the Grand Valley. Posting Specifics: Benefits Eligible: No Shift Details: Part- time (24 hours per week) Unit/Location: Saint Mary's Medical Center, Grand Junction, CO Minimum Qualifications: Current RN License in state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. RNs with less than 12 months of working experience as an RN prior to joining Intermountain must obtain their BSN within four years of their start date. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
