Team St. Michael’s, Inc., has an opportunity for an experienced Contract Specialist in the Fayetteville, NC area in support of a defense organization. Required
- 5 years of experience performing pre- and post-award acquisition-related functions for federal contracts.
- Experience equivalent to a GS-11 1102 Level II DAWIA Contract Specialist.
- Proficiency in the Standard Procurement System (SPS)/Procurement Desktop Defense (PD2) database within the last two years.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Expert knowledge in pre-award phase using simplified acquisition procedures in support of purchase orders and task order awards.
- Expert knowledge administering fixed price contracts and task orders.
- Expert knowledge in service contracts and source selection procedures.
- Expert knowledge in FAR Part 13 procedures including simplified procedures for certain commercial items.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field.
Duties Include:
- Perform cradle to grave acquisition management for a broad range of commercial and non-commercial products and services, to include commodities, advisory and assistance services, IT support services, and sustainment for weapons systems.
- Prepare and review pre-award and post-award documents, conduct analysis of cost and price factors, perform procurement procedures applicable to complex and simple procurements.
- Advise requiring activities on processes for inspection and acceptance of goods and services, and coordinate invoice receipt.
- Interpret solicitation provisions and contract clauses for vendors and government officials.
- Administer contracts and measure performance.
- Assist the contracting officer with contract closeout for both Firm Fixed Price and Cost Reimbursable contracts.
