Food Service Worker II performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled kitchen/cafeteria related duties as assigned. Assists with the preparation, serving and delivery to all programs. Supports the facility’s mission to provide the highest quality care by complying with regulatory guidelines, meeting facility standards, and obtaining appropriate certification.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs all of the duties of the Food Service Worker job description.
2. Accurately measures, prepares, labels, and delivers prepared formulas to units.
3. Prepares and delivers nourishments/snacks as per individualized meal plan/diet order.
4. Serves meals to residents in the dining areas as per diet order and individualized meal plan in a timely manner.
5. Provides feedback to supervisor/dietitian regarding intake, preferences, or concerns from resident/family/nursing.
6. Inspects, accepts, and ensures proper storage of deliveries received. Dates, labels, and stores all food and non-food items according to regulatory and department standards.
7. Delivers requested supplies to nursing unit pantries (formula, baby food, paper ware, etc).
8. Assists with orientation and training of new and current food service employees as assigned.
9. Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen, dining areas, and unit great rooms and pantries in compliance with all sanitation guidelines as per Sanitary Code and department policy.
10. Cleans and sanitizes soiled items including but not limited to dishes, flatware, pots and pans and other items used in food preparation and service while adhering to the proper usage of chemical agents within the department; utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as indicated.
11. Serves as Cashier in dining café during mealtime as directed.
