We strategize, architect, design, develop and commercialize custom software that builds our clients’ businesses.
As a Stable Kernel Senior Systems Analyst, your primary goal is to effectively communicate our clients’ requirements to our development team through analysis of existing code and ensure these projects meet our clients’ business needs. Your special blend of technical knowledge, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills allow you to effectively work with our clients’ product owners to define the "why" and “how” behind some of their most innovative projects, including all aspects of building and support.
You will report to the Director of Client Engagement and work closely with our engineers, sales team, and other colleagues across the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Eliciting complex business requirements from stakeholders and other functional teams and translating them into technical specifications for user stories
- Creating and maintaining key documentation (requirements, process maps, test plans, etc.)
- Solving complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions
- Leveraging system expertise to support and troubleshoot moderately complex issues
- Supporting the work of junior team members and enabling the broader development team to work faster
- Contributing ideas around the life cycle of the system and communicating details regarding system initiatives in meetings, discussions, or brainstorming sessions
- Communicating effectively with team members and business stakeholders
- Managing internal and external dependencies with partners and representing the Stable Kernel team when meeting with partners.

Minimum Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience as an analyst
- Experience leading significant system or platform enhancements/implementations
- Experience in driving teams and stakeholders to decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with a notable ability to translate highly technical concepts to business applications and vice versa
- Ability to read and analyze existing code and extract requirements from it to write stories for new features

- Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Postman, AWS, Kubernetes, DataDog, Splunk, JSON, BloomRPC, and Postgres are helpful
- Comfortable with gRPC and protocol buffers
- Ability to read and understand Java and GoLang
- Familiarity with Spring Boot
- Previous experience as a software engineer or quality engineer for a backend team a plus

Minimum base salary: $120,000
