Description:
This position will function as a highly skilled SS3 with specific responsibilities that include:
1.Processing of traffic monitoring data associated with ODOT’s permanent and short-term count stations used to report Ohio roadway usage. Duties include uploading, reviewing, and processing data daily from short term locations that collect vehicle, volume, classification and speed, Permanent stations may also be included for processing and review.
2.Editing of data collected from equipment stated in items one above. Maintain tracking of data received, quality issues, recommendation for payment.
3.Communicating with traffic count vendors on quality and completeness.
4.Assisting the public with inquiries for data.
5.Analyzing data for trends that may affect data quality. Accessing API and generating reports from data. Preparing summary reports and tabulations of data received, collected and status.
6.Establishing and Maintaining QA/QC processes used to ensure data quality of data collected in the above items.
7.Data Management and archival of collected data associated with vehicle volume, class and speed.
8.Spatial reconciliation with linear referencing system.
9.Develop pay summaries of vendors, make traffic count assignments.
10.Develop and manage goals for traffic count vendors.
11.Plan, organize, prioritize, and manage special request traffic count program.
12.Provide training to users of MS2 system, both internal and external to ODOT.
Experience:
Excellent PC skills.
Able to follow written and spoken instructions.
Ability to accurately analyze, enter and manage data.
Ability to accurately enter information into a computer, accessing information from a computer, and verifying information on a screen.
Duties involve utilizing automated equipment, including electronic keyboard, display screen, and sorted memory.
Ability to operate and understand basic scanning and imaging equipment, including pan, skew, and image correction techniques.
Ability to conduct data mining and data capture efforts.
Keypunch and verify records in specified format (ex. ASCII).
The contractor must complete all data forms within an agreed-upon amount of time from receipt or average a minimum of a set number of strokes each week data forms are in possession.
Error rate cannot exceed 1/2%. Error rate is calculated on a character (not field or record) basis.
Knowledge of imaging and visual display operating practices, procedures, and techniques.
Knowledge of arithmetic and numbering systems.
Training skills for non-technical users of information
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
