POSITION SUMMARY:
The Machine Operator will perform duties related to glass cutting, tempering, and handling in accordance with customer orders. All Production Laborers will be responsible for learning and working all facility stations as required safely and productively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work is physical in nature requiring ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Responsible for operation of cutting, edging/seaming machines. Must produce a finished product within standard tolerance.
- Must have the ability to set up, operate and perform basic maintenance on all machines (cutter) within the department.
- Pre-stage raw material (glass) according to work orders and place finished product in appropriate staging areas in accordance with established glass handling guidelines.
- Gripping, cupping and clamping hand and wrist motions are required to support, carry and maneuver glass/objects to platform heights of three feet in a manner considered safe for self and others.
- Responsible for maintaining work area, inventory control, quality control in relation to the product being assembled, and meeting production needs set by management.
- MUST be dependable, hard-working, pro-active in performing assigned duties, ability to make sound decisions related to safety and have multi-task capabilities.
- Ability to perform repetitive work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to be cross-trained to perform job duties of other work stations
- Perform other duties as assigned

High School Diploma or equivalent 1 year of manufacturing/production experience, preferred
