Description
Stantec Consulting Services, Inc., Water Resources Engineer (Multiple Positions), Denver, CO). Perform numerical and analytical groundwater flow modeling and transport modeling using finite difference and finite element modeling codes. Present technical data and investigation or modeling results to clients and stakeholders. Apply software to develop regional conceptual models and integrate data into numerical modeling frameworks. Complete water balance modeling to assess facility water management. Prepare technical reports documenting field investigations and analytical results. Prepare proposals, including technical writing for upcoming projects and scopes of work. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). #GTM
Qualifications
Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience with the following: Utilizing ArcGIS including spatial data analysis and map figure development; Using groundwater modeling software including MODFLOW; Numerical model calibration including manual methods and parameter estimation methods; Aquifer analysis using analytical solutions, Theis drawdown equation, and analytical solutions software including Aqtesolve; and Dewatering analysis, well design, and construction.
Must have an active U.S. Professional Engineering license.
Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 5%.
Telecommuting permitted up to 5 days a week.
