Living locally in the Kalamazoo, MI. area and working remotely from our company headquarters in South Bend, Indiana, you will develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers in the food service industry. You will ensure that our customers have the products, ideas, and resources they need to thrive in a competitive market while achieving company sales and profit goals.
As a Stanz Foodservice Sales Consultant you will:
- Build and maintain relationships with a variety with potential and existing customers
- Meet with potential and existing customers daily and integrate cold-calling into your schedule
- Have a competitive nature and desire to succeed
- Present new products and perform at-location demonstrations
- Present menu cost analysis and create / help integrate business plans that ensure your customer’s profitability
- Establish costs for products sold and negotiate agreements with customers
- Use a PC-based computer for ordering, research, analysis, and communication
- Anticipate problems to occur and provide remedies according to established parameters
- Work toward the goal of earnings based solely on commissions over a reasonable period of time
Required education, experience & skills:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required, Bachelor’s degree or some college preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving history
- Previous foodservice experience preferred (not fast food related)
- The ability to communicate well with others, both verbally and written, in English as a primary language
- The capacity and desire to multi-task substantial amounts of issues at any given time
- Flexibility to service customers at unconventional times or during non-work days
- Ability to lift product weighing up to 50 pounds
- Independent, self-motivated, and disciplined with a work history that verifies it
- Use of a personal vehicle is required – position involves substantial driving within the route. An allowance program offsets the expenses that are incurred
- Should have a functional understanding of Excel.

Compensation:
- Beginning Salary negotiable based on experience
- Salary with eventual click down to 100% commission based on route sales
